| If you have had anything to do with St. Andrews School in the past 30 years, then you probably know and appreciate Vicki Mealor. She started as a substitute teacher in January of 1990 and within a month she had been hired permanently to teach the Toddler class. From there she went on to serve as an assistant and then lead teacher in the Two-year-old class. After about 10 years in the classroom Vicki became the administrative assistant for the school. When called upon she has stepped in as substitute cook, food purchaser, parakeet keeper, carpool coordinator, and comforter of boo boos. For the past year she has been the school’s assistant director, helping lead through staff transitions and all that operating safely in the midst of a global pandemic has required. St. Andrews School has always been more than a job for Vicki. Her love for the kids, the families, and the staff and her commitment to the mission of the school shines through in all she does. After 30 years of faithful service Vicki is retiring at the close of the calendar year. We will miss her and wish her well as she gets to spend more time on the farm and with her husband, children, and grandchildren. We love you, Vicki! Thanks for everything! |
