Flowering of the Cross, Courtyard
We invite you to bring flowers from home or your yard, make a flower, or use the flowers available at the church to adorn the cross in the courtyard. This sixth-century tradition of flowering the cross is an especially striking and beautiful way to symbolize the new life that emerges from Christ’s death on Good Friday.
Worship in the Garden, 8:30 a.m.
“Early in the morning of the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.” (John 20:1) Early in the morning, you are invited to gather in the courtyard for an outdoor Easter worship service. In the event of rain, we will gather under the shelter of the covered breezeway. Click here for the bulletin.
Fellowship in the Courtyard 9:00-10:00 a.m. Easter Breads is a St. Andrews tradition sharing fellowship, coffee, and pastries on Easter morning. This year we’re adding crafts and activities for our children, including an egg hunt, too. Please plan to join us and if you are able, bring your favorite pastry or bread to share.
Worship 10:00 a.m. We’ll celebrate the resurrection and sing “Alleluia” in worship together, meeting in the Sanctuary and on YouTube Live. Rev. Camille will be preaching Go and Tell. Our scripture passages are Romans 10:1-17 and John 20:1-18 and our hymns are: Jesus Christ Is Risen Today, Thine Is the Glory and Christ Is Alive. Click here for a copy of the bulletin.
