“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come into His presence with singing.”

From folk hymns and spirituals to cantatas and requiems, our music ministry’s diverse offerings reflect solid theology, serious rehearsal and quality performance.  Corresponding to the lectionary scripture, the selections progress with the liturgical seasons.  So that anyone may honor God with music, we offer a wide variety of opportunities.

For more information on the Music Ministry of St. Andrews, contact David Lukens, Director of Music, at dlukens@SAPCtucker.org.  You can check on the Worship Ministry Schedule at SAPC’s Worship Ministry Site.

Chancel Choir

Rehearsals are Wednesday from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Choir Room.

Chancel Choir is a group of adults who meet once a week to prepare anthems to help lead worship on Sunday mornings.  They participate in worship almost every Sunday with a break during the summer.  Special musical presentations are offered during the Advent/Christmas season, during Holy Week, and various times throughout the year.

Chancel Bells

Rehearsals are Sundays from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Choir Room when scheduled

The Chancel Bells play on special occasions such as Easter and Christmas.  A limited number of positions are available, and we always welcome experienced substitute ringers.

Vocal Soloist and Instrumentalists

If you would like to offer a vocal or instrumental solo in our worship services, or use your musical talents to accompany our choirs, please contact David Lukens.  We would love to employ your talents to the glory of God.

Children music

We collaborate with our preschool, St. Andrews School, for a combined music program with the children and grandchildren of our church.  Our first collaboration was “The Nativity”, a Christmas Pageant, performed during the December 24, 2024, Family Christmas Eve service at 5 p.m.  The tentative schedule for children’s choir rehearsal is once a month during the worship service. The children will sing monthly in worship.  Watch for announcements from our En-Core volunteers
