From folk hymns and spirituals to cantatas and requiems, our music ministry’s diverse offerings reflect solid theology, serious rehearsal and quality performance.  Corresponding to the lectionary scripture, the selections progress with the liturgical seasons.  So that anyone may honor God with music, we offer a wide variety of opportunities.

Our Choirs

Chancel Choir

Rehearsals are Wednesday from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Choir Room.

Chancel Choir is a group of adults who meet once a week to prepare anthems to help lead worship on Sunday mornings.  They participate in worship almost every Sunday with a break during the summer.  Special musical presentations are offered during the Advent/Christmas season, during Holy Week, and various times throughout the year.  Make sure to click on the link at the bottom for the  youtube video of their performance of Hymns Triumphant in Spring of 2013.

Chancel Bells

Rehearsals are Sundays from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Choir Room when scheduled

The Chancel Bells play on special occasions such as Easter and Christmas.  A limited number of positions are available, and we always welcome experienced substitute ringers.

Vocal Soloist and Instrumentalists

If you would like to offer a vocal or instrumental solo in our worship services, or use your musical talents to accompany our choirs, please contact David Lukens.  We would love to employ your talents to the glory of God.

 Not to Brag:

Four years ago our choir with some other added singers presented Hymns Triumphant, a setting of wonderful hymns from the church history.  As of summer 2017, Hymns Triumphant has had 60,000 views.
