Support St. Andrews Relay for Life Walkers

St. Andrews initiated the first Relay for Life in Tucker, held last May on the Tucker High School athletic track.  The event drew ten teams, most of them from local churches, and in the weeks leading up to the Relay the teams raised nearly $14,000 for the American Cancer Society.  The event itself was a wonderful community celebration with fellowship, food and live music.  This year the high school track is undergoing renovations, and our event coordinator from last year is unavailable.  But a number of those involved in 2014 want to keep the spirit alive in our community with the goal of holding another Relay at Tucker High School in 2016.  We have formed a team to participate at the DeKalb County Relay, to be held Saturday, May 16, noon to midnight, at Hallford Stadium, 3789 Memorial College Avenue in Clarkston.  If you want to join the team, or if you can support us with a donation, please go to http://relay.acsevents.org.  You can click on Search for an Event and enter “Clarkston GA,” then click on Search for a Team and enter “Tucker Relay Team.”  Or contact a member of the Mission Ministry.
