Our congregation has a long history of supporting the
Journey Men’s Shelter, located on the campus of Druid Hills Presbyterian on Ponce de Leon Avenue in Atlanta. Sunday School classes, our youth group and others have provided many dinners for homeless men who are on the road to productive and independent lives. We are committed this year to providing dinner the first Friday of each month, and the schedule is covered except for the month of July. As no specific group has volunteered to serve on 4
th of July eve, the Mission Ministry is seeking volunteers from the congregation. We’re planning an easy but seasonal menu of grilled hamburgers and sausages. If you can donate time, money or a side dish, contact Paul Ellingson through the church office at 770-938-2833.
This will be a fun July 4th type cookout with a group of wonderful men. Please join us for fun, fellowship and mission outreach. Be the hands and feet of Christ while having a great time.
