Final Family Fun Night of the Summer – Billy Goats Gruff and Other Stuff

Billy Goats Gruff and Other Stuff arrive at St. Andrews on Friday, August 14, from 7 – 8 p.m. in Heffner Hall.  This puppet show by All Hands Production is brought to us by David Stephens in a one-man performance of classic fairy tales, as well as some of his own original tales.

All Hands Production is dedication to bringing quality puppet productions to children and their parents.  For more than a decade, their puppets have been seen on stage and television and won several distinguished awards.

This show let’s us see what happens when three billy goats try to cross over a bridge belonging to a greedy troll I “The Three Billy Goats Gruff.”  Parker Pig encounters some good luck when he stumbles over a watering can in “The One Little Pig and the Three Wishes;” a retelling of a family favorite.  One of Stephens’ original stories, “The Two Farmers,” involves Farmer Frick and Farmer Frack and how they learn to work together to make a pot of stew.

Atlanta’s Center for Puppetry Arts has successfully hosted this production several times and in 2005, this show was honored by receiving a Citation of Excellence from UNIMA_USA, the equivalent of an Oscar in the puppetry world.
