Caring for Creation for Lent

During Lent Caring for Creation invites you to think about it!  Microbeads, tiny pieces of plastic found in many personal care products, are too small to be filtered out by water treatment plants.  Microbeads make their way into our waterways, absorbing toxins and being consumed by fish and other wildlife.  In December, Congress passed a ban on the manufacture of products containing microbeads which will take effect on July 1, 2017.  Until then, protect  our planet by looking for products that do not contain polyethylene or polypropylene.  www.popsci.com/what -are-microbeads-and-why-are-they-illegal.
