Journey Men's Shelter Dinner, Friday, July 1

 On Friday, July 1, the Mission Ministry will provide the evening meal for the residents at the Journey Men’s Shelter.  As this is the 4th of July weekend, we will provide a picnic style menu with hamburgers/hotdogs/brats (cooked on charcoal grills there) and sides and dessert.  We did this last year and it was a great time of fellowship and service for both the volunteers from SAPC and the residents.  Dinner is done family-style and is a great opportunity to meet and fellowship with the residents (many of whom have interesting life stories) and to learn more about this successful program from the staff and residents.  If you are interested in participating as one of the servers with the team, assisting with grilling at the shelter, providing sides/desserts/money donations or have questions please contact Mike Bearden ( michaelrbearden@bellsouth.net ).  Food donations need to be dropped off at Heffner Hall between 5 and 6 pm on Friday, July 1.  If you would like to assist at Journey and need a ride or want to follow someone there you need to be at Heffner Hall by 6 pm on Friday.  Dinner will be served at 7 pm at Journey.
