What's On Wednesdays (WOW) Explores Racism

September 7– Why is racism so hard to talk about? It’s been decades since the groundbreaking Civil Rights Act was passed back in the sixties, yet while we’re always willing to talk about the positive steps we’ve taken to address racial inequality, we’re not quite as willing to talk about the ways in which we continue to fall short.  Join us as we try to have those hard conversations, not because we think we can solve the problem, but because we know the first step is acknowledging that it exists.

September 21– Racism 101 Let’s expand upon our understanding of some of the core concepts of racism as we come to understand how racism–whether covert or overt–flies in the face of our Christian faith. Together we’ll explore how we can commit to challenging racism in our lives.
