The Kairos Sunday School class will begin a ten-week study of the book of Exodus on March 26th, using the Interpretation Bible Studies book by James D. Newsome, Professor Emeritus at Columbia Theological Seminary.

Exodus is a compelling narrative of three characters:  The God of Israel, who rescues a people in captivity after years of apparent silence; Moses, the leader of Israel, who reluctantly accepts his calling and goes on the become the giver of the Law; and the people of Israel, who struggle to be faithful to God after facing near extinction at the hands of their captors.  Exodus is a story about seeking and finding a God who redeems us in our moments of separation and sin.

The class is led by Marcia Noble and Jane Thomas, but the class members and the Holy Spirit carry the discussion through honest questioning and participative engagement.  No reading is required, so people can drop in at any point.  Come join us as we look at one of the most exciting stories in the Bible!
