Introducing Our New Seminary Intern

Hi there! My name is Kristen Sommerfeld and I am thrilled to be an intern at St. Andrews for the 2019-2020 school year. I am a second-year student at Columbia Theological Seminary in the Dual-Degree Program. I studied Animal Science at the University of Tennessee before serving with the Young Adult Volunteers Program. I served for a year at Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center in Little Rock, AR where I managed the onsite Farm and Garden and taught nature education and creation care to children and adults of all ages.

Coming to seminary was never in my plans, but undoubtedly it was a call I couldn’t resist. I hardly know where this call will lead, but for the moment I feel called to a ministry that involves creation care, fellowship, and service. I was immediately drawn to St. Andrews when I learned that you hold similar ministry priorities. I am so excited to get to know and learn from everyone at St. Andrews.
