Presbyterian Week of Action

We’re spending the week taking action to learn and move in our work of anti-racism. Sunday is designated as a day for that action to be service to others. Please join us for our drive-through food drive for NETWorks on Sunday from 1-3 pm, if you are able.

GIVE:

Our partners at NETWorks Cooperative Ministries has been hard at work adapting and serving our neighbors during this pandemic. They’ve modified their food pantry procedures and still need help stocking the shelves. That’s where you can be of service.

• You can drive through the sanctuary side of the church parking lot on Sunday between 1 & 3 pm to drop off (contact-free) items for NETWorks. Attached is a list of items for the pantry.

• If you would like to help pack up grocery bags or distribute them you can sign up to help on their website. https://www.networkscoop.org/

• If you can’t make it by or don’t want to go out to the store, you can shop for NETWorks with their Amazon wish list.

ADVOCATE:

• If you are interested in learning more about how to take action in changing some of the oppressive systems we’ve learned about this week you can read about suggested policy actions hereand keep up more locally with Presbyterians for a Better Georgia https://www.p4bg.org/

GET COUNTED:

• If you haven’t already filled out your 2020 census you can do it in just a few minutes online. You have until September 30^thto make sure you are counted. https://2020census.gov/

VOTE:

• Register to vote! The deadline to register for the November 3rd general election is October 5th. https://registertovote.sos.ga.gov/
