We are planning an all-church work day on Saturday, September 8th from 7:00 am – Noon. Come early to beat the heat. Folks are also welcome to come later in the morning, if you are not an early bird. Bring a metal rake and work gloves, if you have them. For more information, please contact  Paul Burns

The 39ers is a group of people who like to fellowship together once a month at one of our local eateries. Everyone is welcome to join in. Their next meeting will be Wednesday, September 5th at O’Charley’s at Noon (2039 Crescent Centre Blvd, Tucker, GA 30084)

If you would like to carpool to the restaurant, meet in the church parking lot closest to the office at 11:45.

Please contact Charles Mills or Sarah Slusher  with any questions.

Beginning September 23rd, our pastor will be preaching a sermon series entitled “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” Mr. Rogers’ life was grounded in scripture and belief in our sovereign, gracious God. This series with connect scripture with the wisdom of Mr. Rogers as we continue to listen for how God is calling us, as individuals and as a congregation, to be good neighbors.

Please bring in Grits, Oatmeal and Powdered Milk to the collection box in the narthex. St. Andrews is responsible for providing these items all year long for the NET Food Pantry. Consider picking up these items on your next trip to the store. Donations of other shelf-stable items like canned goods are also always welcome.

A reminder from the Management Ministry to lock doors after meetings and services. We are finding many interior doors unlocked around the church. Please lock up after you are finished with a room and please put the room back the way is supposed to be.

One of the things about being a Christian is knowing a thing or two about the One we follow: Jesus Christ. At its heart, the Gospel Reading Project (GRP) is simple: read the Gospels from beginning to end. The whole congregation is invited to follow a plan that provides daily readings of the four Gospels starting November 25, 2018 through June 9, 2019. An important part of the GRP is meeting with a small group to engage with and reflect on the scripture readings. These groups will be offered at different times and locations, depending on the hosts. At least one will take place during the Sunday school hour. If you are interested in hosting a small group (leader materials will be provided) please contact Camille. Stay tuned for more information in the weeks ahead.

We don’t yet have a name for our new Wednesday Night Program coming to St. Andrews this fall, but we’d like you to help us plan it, and maybe even find a name for it!  Please join us for a light dinner on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 6:00-7:00 p.m. in Heffner Hall.  Nursery and childcare will be provided upon request. Seeking families, seniors, and in-betweeners! Please bring your calendars and be ready to volunteer to support this re-imagined program at St Andrews. We will pray, plan, and do this together. Contact Merle Westbrook to RSVP, request childcare, or with any questions.

All St. Andrews women are invited to attend the 2018-2019 Bible study, God’s Promise: I Am with You, meeting the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 10:00 am in the Meeting Room, September-May.
