Join the Middle Schoolers and the G2G Kids on Sunday, June 24, as they take a turn at feeding the Clifton Sanctuary Ministries  clients.  They’ll be grilling hamburgers and brats and bringing all the great picnic sides: cole slaw, chips, baked beans and homemade cookies.  If you would like to help cook or be part of the group who serves that night, please contact Phyllis or Mike Bearden

Form your own group this summer to help with this SAPC mission.  We need cookers and servers for July – September.  Sign up here to help this summer.

Join us next Sunday, June 3 after worship. We will take the buses for a guided prayer walk of the City of Clarkston. Our call to engage in the Refugee Community starts with understanding the community we are serving. This tour is an opportunity to do just that. Wear comfortable walking clothes and shoes to church, or bring some to change into next week. We’ll see the community, pray for the residents, and even get to enjoy some of their food, so bring a little money to spend supporting these local businesses. Click here to RSVP or contact Kim Rometo or Joshua Price, 770-921-1231.

Special Offering  On Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 13, we will join with Presbyterian Churches in Georgia in the Mother’s Day Offering for the Presbyterian Homes of GA Caring Hands Fund that provides exceptional care to more than 400 older residents (mostly widows) who have simply outlived their savings as they live their remaining years in peace and dignity.

May 13 & 20 the Combined Adult/Youth/Middle School class will explore what we believe by studying our Presbyterian Creeds and Confessions.  Come to the Youth room at 9:00 Sunday mornings for discussion of how the church has proclaimed what it believes in the past and how we do that today.

Speaking of Coffee… A warm cup of coffee or tea in our hands is perhaps the most tangible daily connection we have with farmers around the world. Buying fair trade through the Presbyterian Coffee Project ensures that more of the money we spend on these products reaches the hardworking farmers who actually grow it. The SAPC spring sale is underway. Forms are available here, in the narthex or from Mary Evans. Please order by May 14.

Come one, come all to enjoy a spectacular show of song, dance, and poetry. On Saturday, April 28, 2108, 7 p.m., at Morningside Presbyterian Church performers from all over Greater Atlanta Presbytery will unite their gifts to raise money for Shalom International Ministry.
