St. Andrews orders coffee, tea, and chocolate from the Presbyterian Coffee Exchange. These high-quality products are fairly traded giving the farmers a better return on their effort and encouraging farmers to continue to produce the products we enjoy without the use of chemicals that damage the environment. These products  provide different varieties to allow everyone to find a favorite. Order forms are in the narthex or can be accessed from Mary Evans. Please order by February 12 for delivery by the end of February.

Join your deacons and elders for a “meet and greet” in the youth lounge after the 10 AM worship service on Sunday, February 25. Cookies, baked goods, and coffee will be served. To donate cookies or volunteer to help, contact Paige at paigemk@gmail.com or 404-895-4210, or sign up at this link.

On February 14, at 6 PM before our Ash Wednesday service, we’ll enjoy a traditional Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner together. Volunteers are needed for shifts from 4:30 to 7:00 PM to help with cooking, serving, set-up, and clean-up, and to donate breakfast casseroles to share. Lay Readers SAPC’s Worship Ministry is looking for additional volunteers to help share God’s word during Sunday services. Serving as a lay liturgist can be a rewarding and fulfilling experience. It typically involves a commitment of no more than two Sundays during a four-month time span. Please prayerfully consider sharing your time and talents in this way. Moses, Elijah, and Jesus walk into a bar… January 7 – Feb 11. The transfiguration of Jesus on the mountaintop is an overwhelming story: the voice of God, Moses, and Elijah, a bright shining Jesus. Do you find yourself bewildered by this story? Don’t worry the disciples were, too! Come to the High School Youth Room Sunday mornings at 9:00 as we dive in deep to the characters, and meaning of this story. This class is for 6th grade-adults

The newest community mission for our SAPC congregation is providing dinner for up to 30 men on the 4th Sunday of the each month at Clifton Sanctuary Ministries. Clifton Sanctuary has been  open 365 days a year, for more than 27 years, it has offered a place of rest, shelter, healing and support to the homeless men of Atlanta; it’s the oldest shelter in Atlanta operating in a house of worship.

How you can get involved:  Sign up a group, family or group of friends below as the “evening host team” to provide a meal for up to 30 men w/serving utensils, dessert, and drink (plates, glasses, silverware, napkins, ice and containers for any leftovers you want to leave are available on site) when SAPC serves on the 4th Sunday of each month.  Set up begins at 5:00 pm and meals are served at 6:00 pm.  You are invited to eat and talk with the guests/residents during the meal.  No clean-up is needed.  It is done by the “guest/resident team” for the night.
