Thanks go out to the Burns Family for hosting our pool party last month. A good time was had by all!

Join us in Worship on September 10th to hear a report from our youth mission trip team who went to Mobile, AL this Summer!

On September 10th from 6-7:30p, will be the youth kick off for youth and their parents in Heffner Hall. We are going to be playing a game of trivia and will have a category of St. Andrews Trivia. If you know any fun trivia about our church or its history, email Steve Sankey before the 10th.

If you can’t join us on September 10th, we invite individuals and groups from the church to bring a meal for youth group one night during the year. These are the dates available to bring a meal to youth group. Here is the link to sign-up.

If you are like most people, you do some shopping on Amazon. Now, when you shop at AmazonSmile, a portion of the purchase price will be donated to

St Andrews. Smile.amazon.com is the exact same thing as Amazon.com – you use the same Amazon account that you currently have and everything else stays the same. On your first visit to smile.amazon.com you will to select a charitable organization that will receive donations from eligible purchases, before you begin shopping. Then, every eligible purchase you make at smile.amazon.com will result in a donation to St. Andrews. Giving is that easy!

St. Andrews staffed the N.E.T. Food Pantry in June. 62 needy families were given a 3-day supply of food.

In my 30 years with the N.E.T. Food Pantry, I have never experienced a more hectic month. For the first two weeks of June, early voting for the 6th district was held in the Tucker Recreation Center where our pantry is located. Since it was a very contentious election, our hallway was mobbed with early voters. Parking was difficult. To add to the confusion, Tucker Rec’s summer camps were in full swing.

Many thanks to Nancy Mills, Ramona Creagh, Lettie Hudson, Diane MacFarland, Pat Creasman and Allen Smith, who served in the Pantry.

For any who might not know, the 39ers is a group of folks who like to meet, eat and have fellowship together. This fall we will begin on Monday, September 11 with a new idea. In the past, we have met in Heffner Hall and had a catered lunch and sometimes a program. This year we will be lunching at local restaurants. ‘Folks at Northlake is the first one chosen for this year. We will meet there at Noon and would welcome any and all who would like to join us. We will carpool from the office side of the church, if that is more convenient. The carpool will leave at 11:45.

Future meetings are planned for the First Monday of the month. Please contact Charles Mills or Sarah Slusher via the office@SAPCtucker.org  with any questions.

Since SAPC isn’t staging our Race For Grace (R4G) this year, Eric Macskill, the owner of the local gym Eric’s FitLab has decided to donate 10% of the profits from his 5K on Saturday, Oct. 14 to our youth missions.

Let’s all support this local business and friend of our church.  Eric has always supported our race and now he’s supporting our fundraiser.  He would love to see volunteers and runners from the St. Andrews family.

For more information on the race, go to Active or check on Superheroes Vs. Villains.

Our tradition at St. Andrews is to kick off the church school year with an old-fashioned Rally Day.  Join us on Sunday, Sept. 10, 9 a.m. in Heffner Hall for breakfast snacks and information about Christian Education at St. Andrews.

Every fall our faithful barbeque cooks spend a good bit of time on a Saturday night getting the meat ready for our fall BBQ.  Save the date so you can be a part of this delicious tradition.  Sunday, Oct. 1, after the worship service, we will convene to Heffner Hall for a feast and a time of fellowship.

You can volunteer to help with the grilling on Saturday night, or help with preparing the meat Sunday morning, serving, cleaning up and/or bring a side dish or dessert.

Pastoral Concern
August 28, 2017

In sure and certain hope of the Resurrection through our Lord Jesus Christ, St. Andrews’ congregation extends sympathy to the family of Ruby Scott who died Saturday, August 26th.

A Memorial Service for Ruby will be held in the sanctuary on Wednesday, August 30th at 11:00 a.m.

Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord; they rest from their labors and their works follow them.
