St. Andrews will staff the N.E.T. Food Pantry for the entire month of June. Pantry hours are 10:30 am – 2:00 pm. every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The pantry is located in Room 15 of the Tucker Recreation Center next door to St Andrews. Volunteers are needed to greet clients and bag food orders.  If you would like to sign up, please call the office (770-938-2834)  for Klara Smith’s contact information.

Each year on Pentecost Sunday, we celebrate the arrival of the Holy Spirit as a bringer of new life with an offering intended to nurture the faith of those newest among us.  Let’s celebrate together on Sunday, June 4.

Lawn Mower Repair Days
Paul Burns and St. Andrews’ Youth Group will be serving our community by tuning up and repairing lawn mowers Saturdays May 27 and June 3 from 9 am-3 pm, in the parking lot by the shed. Bring your lawn mower, and learn repair skills.  Try to beat a kid at rebuilding a carburetor or tell a neighbor about this opportunity to sit around and learn mechanical skills.  Plus Paul will probably get your lawn mower mowing again.

NETWorks Cooperative Ministry is adding one Saturday a month to our pantry schedule. If you’ve never been able to volunteer with us during our weekday hours, now’s your chance to get involved! Call Stephanie Suggs 770-939-6454 or click here to sign up.

Thank you St. Andrews! You donated over $2,050 in the Mother’s Day Offering for the Presbyterian Homes of GA Caring Hands Fund. This fund provides exceptional care to more than 400 older residents, mostly widows; this ministry provides for them as they live their remaining years in peace and dignity.

Save the Date for Wednesday May 24th from 7 – 8 p.m.  The summer is a great time to give choir a try without the weekly commitment.  Just one rehearsal and three anthems, and you are on your way.  Meet us in the Choir Room!

Tomorrow, Saturday, May 13, you can place a bag of healthy nonperishable food items by your mailbox for your letter carrier to deliver to a local food ban or pantry. Donations stay in our community. Once a year our mail carriers help with this drive that is given by the National Association of Letter Carriers, NALC. This is the 25th year so join in to make our Tucker letter carriers proud. http://www.buckslocalnews.com/news/help-stamp-out-hunger-letter-carriers-across-the-nation-making/article_39e1ffd9-7ed9-56f4-8c07-ad0bec1f7a26.html
