In its 142-year history, Thornwell, our Presbyterian ministry in Clinton, SC has served children whose families have been disrupted and supported families that are struggling.
A group from Greater Atlanta will make a day trip to see the home of this ministry. We invite you to join us! We’ll leave St. Andrews about 7:30 AM to travel to Clinton, SC. While at Thornwell, we’ll tour the historic campus, see the cottages and campus church, observe children in the Learning Center, enjoy a meal together ($10) and meet farmer Gretchen’s friends: Cliffy, Randy and Roy. Our day at Thornwell will conclude by 3 PM with a ride through the Presbyterian College campus en route to Atlanta.
This trip is a day of fun with fellow Atlantans as we traverse North Georgia and piedmont South Carolina in the spring. Contact Mary Evans through the office, office@standrewspresbyterian.org, for answers to your questions, and to sign up for the trip. Sign-ups will be accepted as long as space allows.

Scripture has much to say about how we are treat the stranger, but it’s not always that easy for us to know what that looks like today. Come explore with us.

The Kairos Sunday School class will begin a ten-week study of the book of Exodus on March 26th, using the Interpretation Bible Studies book by James D. Newsome, Professor Emeritus at Columbia Theological Seminary.

Exodus is a compelling narrative of three characters:  The God of Israel, who rescues a people in captivity after years of apparent silence; Moses, the leader of Israel, who reluctantly accepts his calling and goes on the become the giver of the Law; and the people of Israel, who struggle to be faithful to God after facing near extinction at the hands of their captors.  Exodus is a story about seeking and finding a God who redeems us in our moments of separation and sin.

The class is led by Marcia Noble and Jane Thomas, but the class members and the Holy Spirit carry the discussion through honest questioning and participative engagement.  No reading is required, so people can drop in at any point.  Come join us as we look at one of the most exciting stories in the Bible!

Left Over Treasures from the church clean-up day are available on the stage of Heffner Hall. Please take what you can use for yourself or your ministry. Items will be donated Monday, March 20th.
