Senior High Sunday School is mirroring Advent Sundays using the same scriptures that will be used doing worship.  Each Sunday, starting with Nov. 29, is entitled, “Advent Through the Eyes of Those Who Waited.”   Nov. 29, the first Sunday in Advent focuses on the Hebrew Prophets, Dec. 6, the second Sunday, examines John the Baptist, Dec. 13 – the Annunciation to Mary of her pregnancy, and then Dec. 20, the fourth and final Sunday of Advent, will be the study of two new prophets, Mary and her cousin Elizabeth and Mary’s Song of Praise to God.  The Senior Highs meet in the Youth Wing at 9 a.m.  If you want a sneak peek of each Sunday and a wider understanding of Advent, please join us.

Last month South Carolina experienced serious flooding following strong storms. Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) has been on the ground for weeks now working on both immediate relief, planning for long term recovery, and simply being a present witness of the larger church during this difficult time. The national response team has depleted the national warebarn’s supply of flood clean-up buckets. We can help by filling these buckets and getting them to our neighbors to the north to help with ongoing recovery and to restock the national supply for future disasters. At WOW on November 11th we’ll be filling 15 flood buckets and we ask you to help us out by bringing supplies. You can sign up to bring cleaning supplies at www.SignUpGenius.com/go/20F0C4CAEA82BA3FC1-packing
