St. Andrews’ annual Easter Egg Hunt returns Saturday, April 4 at 10 a.m.  The youth of the church will be filling the plastic eggs, but please bring goodies to help.  A basket in the church lobby (narthex) on March 22 and 29 will be ready to receive candy donations.

The hunt begins in Heffner Hall with crafts, snacks, songs and the wonderful Easter Egg Hunt all over the St. Andrews campus.  Children are divided into age groups and have a great time running around the beautiful St. Andrews “yard.”  Please come and invite any children you know.

Sunday, March 22, St. Andrews continues the Lenten journey.  The congregation will gather for a Service of Healing and Wholeness will be an integral part of the 9 and 11 am services.  There will be a variety of opportunities for enacted prayer during the service.  The laying on of hands is experienced as enacted prayer during a service of healing and wholeness.  Leaders will ask each person who chooses to come forward to state simply their prayer for wholeness.  There will be a variety of opportunities for enacted prayer during the service, including the laying on of hands and anointing with oil. On Tuesday, March 24 at 8:00 p.m., Intown Collaborative Ministries and Journey Men’s Shelter are partnering with The Horizon Theatre for a special sneak preview of Grand Concourse. Set in a soup kitchen in the Bronx, the show explores the themes of faith, service and self- help. After the performance, join representatives of Journey and Intown for a special 30-minute Talk Back discussion – engaging the audience in a conversation about the themes explored in the play – and how they play out in real life as Journey and Intown serve hundreds of homeless individuals in and around the Poncey-Highlands community.

Golf with friends and raise money for missions.  The tenth annual golf outing is Friday May 8th.  This annual event has raised $7,486 for missions.

Mark your calendar to participate and see Ken Slusher or Ted Heffner for more information.  Check the news feed for more details nearer the event.

Saturday, April 18, 8 a.m. kicks off our fifth R4G, the 5K/10K Peachtree Qualifier race through the surrounding neighborhoods.  This popular race has raised money for our Youth Group to go on mission trips each summer, and the kids need lots of financial and volunteer support this year.

You can support this cause by writing a check made out to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church with R4G in For line.  Just drop your offering in the offering plate or give it to your favorite youth to handle.

We will also need lots of volunteers the day of the race.  Please see Erin Johnston or Laura Papotto to volunteer for the race.

Sponsors are important.  If you have a business you want publicized, work at some place or you are willing to ask a local business to sponsor the race, please see Paige Kubik or Kim Rometo.  We need more sponsors for the back of the T-shirt and to bring our fundraising up to a positive level.

Mainly, please tell every one you know about the race and put it on social media.  We need everyone to spread the news.

Every year St. Andrews decorates the Chancel with Easter Lilies, bought by members to honor or remember a loved one.

If you are interested in buying a lily at $10 a plant, please complete one of the pink order forms that can be found in the pew racks.  Place your check or cash in an enveloped with the pink order form, and a lily honoring or memorializing your loved one will be placed around the cross.

After the Easter service, you may take your lily home or ask that it be given to a shut-in.

This Sunday thousands of people will come together in downtown Atlanta to raise awareness and funds to help fight hunger in our community.  Our St. Andrews youth will be at Turner Field at 10 a.m. to worship and fellowship with youth from churches across our Presbytery before the walk/run begins.

You can support their efforts HERE  Donate to our SAPC team or choose a special youth to support.
