Continuing Congregational Mission Opportunity and Fundraiser:    On February 9, 2020, as part of our worship service (inter-generational participation) and with the support of Rise Against Hunger, we will prepare 10,000 meals in Heffner Hall (as in 2014, 2016, and 2018) to help fight world hunger.  We plan to continue this every two years.  The school and other activities we help to support in Zambia with our Change for Children donations and our donation to Alliance for Children Everywhere are some of the organizations that benefit from these healthy food donations.  Watch for information in upcoming weekly emails and worship bulletins for more details on the Feb 9 activity.

We pay for the ingredients for these meals.  We have established a restricted account for this activity to fund our costs for the ingredients now and in the future.  Donation information (cash, check, and electronically through the SAPC web site) is available on the table with the fundraiser progress thermometer.  Questions:  contact Joshua Price and Mike Bearden, Mission Ministry Elders.

A Socks and Skivvies Tree to support Clifton Sanctuary Ministries will be in the Narthex from Dec 15-29. This is a new opportunity for our congregation and was a long-time mission activity of the Church of the New Covenant. Homeless men coming to Clifton Ministries receive new tee shirts, underwear, and socks. Our congregation’s goal is to help maintain Clifton’s clothing supply closet. We encourage your support by donating: socks (white crew and dark dress socks of sizes 10-13); white short-sleeve tee shirts and underwear (many prefer briefs; in sizes M, especially L and XL, and XXL). Please do not wrap them as Christmas presents. These gifts will be delivered to Clifton in early January. Questions: contact Mike Bearden or Joshua Price.

You are invited to attend a family meeting about St. Andrews School on Thursday, December 12th at 6:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary. The purpose of this meeting is: 1) To communicate clear and correct information about St. Andrews School 2) To hear questions and concerns from school families and staff. The pastor, school director, assistant director, and board members will be present.
