Thank You St. Andrews! Thank you to everyone who organized, volunteered, and came out to help make St. Andrews’ back to school carnival a success. You can see a link to pictures from the carnival here. We estimate we had 350 of our neighbors to visit the carnival. Thank you to all who welcomed our community to SAPC!

SAVE THE DATE!   Coro Voci, a select group of singers, rehearses at St. Andrews throughout the year.  We are honored to host them at the Sunday afternoon concert where the music explores the themes of Earth, Water, Fire, Wind in beautiful choral pieces by American composers.

All are invited, and the concert is free.  Coro Voci will host a reception following the concert to thank the congregation of St. Andrews

This Sunday is the Ninth Sunday after Pentecost. Rev. Camille will be preaching “Believing is Seeing.” Our scripture passages are Psalm 33:12-22 and Hebrews 11:1-3, 8-16. Our hymns will be All Things Bright and Beautiful, We Walk by Faith and Not by Sight, and Lift Every Voice and Sing.

Blessing of the Backpacks Families, friends, teachers, and students, young and old, are invited to join us for worship at 10 a.m. on Sunday, August 4th to get your backpack blessed and prepare to start the new school year off well. Bring your backpack, tote, or messenger bag, join in a special prayer of blessing and receive a tag for your bag to remind you that wherever you go, God goes with you.

This Sunday is the Eighth Sunday after Pentecost; we will be celebrating communion in worship. Rev. Camille will be preaching “How Can I Give You Up?” Our scripture passages are Psalm 107 and Hosea 11:1-11. Our hymns will be Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, Like a Mother Who Has Borne Us, and Now Thank We All Our God. Join us after worship for Lemonade in the Shade in the courtyard.

Last Week for the Back to School Shop We are collecting donations of new school supplies for NetWorks’ Back to School Shop. Please see the list of needed items and bring donations to the narthex through this Sunday, July 28. Thank you for supporting this important outreach.

Carnival Our annual Carnival is always a wonderful community event. Each year, hundreds of our neighbors come to St. Andrews for a fun party. It’s a great time to practice what we’ve been learning about: being good neighbors and being an inviting congregation. This is your official call for all hands on deck. Please click here to sign up to help. There is also a sign up sheet available in the narthex. This year’s event will be on Saturday, August 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Floor Cleaning in the Education Building We are having the floors cleaned in the Education Building this weekend. Please help us by observing the signs on the doors of the building and staying off the floors until they cure. The church nursery will be located in the Middle School Room this Sunday.
