School Supply Donations

NetWorks holds an annual Good Neighbor shop for families in our area. The Good Neighbor Shops collect new, donated items and sell them at greatly reduced prices, allowing our low income neighbors to buy school supplies at a price they can afford, giving them a dignified way to provide for their families. We know all parents prefer to provide for themselves and their families; NetWorks’ Good Neighbor Shops offer that, with the generosity of our community

Please bring new school supplies to the Narthex at St. Andrews through Sunday, July 28. A list of needed supplies is available here.

Screen Time Limits with Kids

Research shows that when children are “plugged in” all the time, they’re not as happy as kids who spend less time using media and technology. The parenting (or grand-parenting) challenge is not to prevent children from using media and technology, but to achieve a healthy balance between the time spent connected to technology and having it unplugged at home. Developing a family media policy is an excellent way to achieve balance in the amount of time your children spend on cell phones, watching TV and using computers.”

Here is a great resource to help you do this. Praying for you and your family as you work on a family technology plan together.
