Lenten Creation Care Caring for Creation invites members to select and practice a new way to “green the creation” for 40 days of Lent. A list of suggested disciplines was included in the March Lamplighter. Caring for the Creation begins with prayer Select a topic that appeals to you (the oceans, daffodils, clean water, bees, clutter, earthworms, litter) and talk to God any time of day. Pick a topic for the week or a new topic daily but include creation care in daily prayer. Find other resources here and here: or in John Philip Newell’s book Praying with the Earth which contains morning and evening prayers that invite meditation and daily prayer for all of creation. (Marj Holler has books to share.) Regardless of how you choose to pray, intentional prayer for creation is a positive discipline for Lent.

Spring ahead Saturday night, March 9th.  You wouldn’t want to be late for church!
