Food Pantry is located in Room 15 of the Tucker Recreation Center, next door to St. Andrews. Pantry hours are 11:00 am to 2:00 pm every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Volunteers are needed to bag groceries and greet clients. If you would like to volunteer in the Pantry, please call: Klara Smith, 770-934-1288.

Our new Older Adult and Caregiver Ministry is off to a great start. Input from members of all ages will be helpful to make this ministry a success. Pat Baker is putting together an advisory group that will be meeting four times a year to brainstorm about what is currently going on with the ministries, share ideas among all age groups and look at future plans. The first meeting of this group is after church on February 27th in the meeting room. If you are interested in expressing your ideas and sharing with this group please email or call Pat Baker at pat@sapctucker.org or 770-938-2833 ext. 111 or come by to visit her in the office most Tuesday mornings or Wednesday afternoons.

Supporting those affected by the government shutdown: Some have asked how we can support federal workers who are furloughed or required to work without pay. Because we do not know how long this shutdown will last, and how best to meet needs, we encourage you to support NETWorks

Cooperative Ministries. We have a long history with this local organization and they have the infrastructure in place to connect people to the resources they need. David Fisher, the executive director of NETWorks, tells us that they are beginning to see an increase in activity due to the shutdown. They will double the amount of pantry visits and personal care assists available to each family and are keeping an eye on other ways to help as needs increase. Right now you can support the work of NETWorks directly through financial gifts and donations of food and personal care items. For more information visit https://www.facebook.com/networkscooperative/ or https://www.networkscoop.org/. If you, or someone you know needs assistance due to the shutdown please let them know about the services available through our partner, NETWorks

Please plan to attend our annual congregational meeting this Sunday following worship in the Sanctuary. At this meeting, the congregation will receive the Annual Report, vote on the Pastoral terms of call, and elect Patsy Cannon to fill a currently vacant position on the Diaconate. Patsy (Class of 2019) has been a member of St. Andrews since 1980. She has served the church in a number of ways, most recently as an elder working with St. Andrews School.

Directory Updates Please call or email the office if you have a change of address, email or phone number. We are working on an updated directory, 770-938-2833.
