On Christmas Eve we have two candlelight services, one at 5 p.m. and one at 11 p.m. In the early service we emphasize worshiping with our youth and children, telling the Nativity story by acting out the scripture and singing.
At the later service service we start with an organ prelude at 10:30 p.m. and then worship at 11. We welcome Christmas Day by singing “Joy to the World” and lifting our candles high.
Come to one – come to both. It’s truly a wonderful way to celebrate Christmas.
The service will be Wednesday, December 19 at 6:30 pm. Preceded by dinner in the Fellowship Hall at 5:45 pm. Through visual art, poetry, prayer, song and candle-lighting ~ as we approach the longest night of the year, we will pause from the hustle and bustle of the season to honor those who struggle and to witness to the light that has come, and is coming into the world. This service will create a safe and sacred space for those who are struggling to feel the joy and light of the holiday season due to loss of any kind. All are welcome.
Lessons & Carols Sunday, December 16th at 6:30 pm A family candlelight Worship service of Scripture and music preparing for the celebration of our Lord’s birth with carols for choirs, instruments, handbells and the congregation. A Christmas Cookie reception will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall. Bring your friends and neighbors and share the good news of Christ’s coming.

We are excited that Pat Baker will be joining the SAPC staff in January as Director of Older Adult and Caregiver Ministries on a part-time basis. Before this happens we need your help with a survey for all members and friends of St. Andrews to complete. Surveys are available in the Narthex and electronically. Please take a few minutes to fill out the survey so she’ll know what direction the congregation wants this ministry to go. She will also be hosting focus groups to talk more about this on Sunday, November 4 at 11:15 am and 5:00 pm in the meeting room. Completed surveys can be returned to the designated box in the narthex, the office, mailed or emailed to Pat. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Pat by email or phone at 678-438-3673.
Please click here for a copy of the survey.
