Lilburn Summer Singers to Perform at St. Andrews

The Lilburn Summer Singers will lead worship music on Sunday, August 24th, and then perform a concert at 3:00 p.m. in our sanctuary under the direction of Ed Weaver.

Ed, who is the St. Andrews organist,  has directed this accomplished group for years and has chosen a program of exclusively American composers  including works by Howard Helvey, Moses Hogan, Morton Lauridsen and Paul Hogan.  A majority of the works will be performed acapella.

Several St. Andrews musicians perform with this group: Heather Morse, David and Kjersti Lukens, Jeff Bunce, Kathe Gowland, and Phyllis Bearden.

If you can’t make this concert, the Lilburn Summer Singers will be in concert at Lilburn Christian Church on Sunday, August 17th, at 3:00 p.m. and at St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church in Dunwoody on Sunday, September 7th at 7:00 p.m.

The Singers practice in the St. Andrews Choir room during the summer and present the concert as a gift of their worship.  There’s no charge for admission, but the group would like to collect donations for NetWorks.
